APL Apollo Tubes Ltd consolidated sales down 10.50% on year in Q2FY2026, net profit tanked by 25.75% As on : 01-Aug-26  17:00

APL Apollo Tubes Ltd share price slipped 3.93% to Rs 1818.8 after the company's net profit tumbled by 25.75% to Rs 263.11 crore, while revenue from operations declined 10.50% to Rs 5438.21 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Iron & Steel Products industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 3.17 lakh crore, gaining 5.07%. It has improved by 1.43% over last one week and ticked higher by 3.02% in last one month while the market capitalization of APL Apollo Tubes Ltd has slipped by 0.38% and 4.45% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of APL Apollo Tubes Ltd stood at Rs 352.43 crore in Q2 FY26, improving 13.71% year-on-year, and crashing by 22.82% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 372 crore, rising 7.31% YoY and plunging by 21.66% sequentially. Total expenses eased by 9.67% to Rs 5254.86 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 4686.93 crore, growing marginally by 3.96% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 106.09 crore, expanding by 10.32% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations rose 14.22% to Rs 19996.29 crore, while net profit grew slightly 3.36% to Rs 757.06 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA soared by 114169% to Rs 1102.92 crore, and PBT saw a marginal contraction of 1.77% to Rs 960.44 crore compared to previous TTM. The company's consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 1213.28 crore in FY26, as against Rs 1111.56 crore in FY25. APL Apollo Tubes Ltd jumped 13.66% in last one year, significantly outperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has softened by 3.81% during the same period.
